STORY STRUCTURE

I love working with a strong narrative, whether it means working from a
script or finding the theme in a documentary.

Of course, even with the best of scripts, things don't always shoot the
way they read. Sometimes a bit of ingenuity is necessary in the
editorial process, and it helps to work with someone who understands
how not only how to work a story, but how to rework it as well.

As a screenwriter with a degree in Creative Writing from Oberlin
College, I understand what makes a story work and what gets in its way.

In many ways editing and writing involve the same skills, but from
different ends of the project. Sometimes having an editor look at the
script before shooting starts can help avoid some common issues that
arise during the editing process. Whether in pre-production or
post-production, my skills are available to you.
